Leak
I have an extra large compress and have used it for several years (sporadically). The compress developed leaks around the seam. I wish the manufacturer would list an approximate lifespan to the product. Like it, but it is pricey for limited life span....

9 year old large reusable cold compress
The date on it is 2011, so I should not be upset that it finally has something wrong with it. It doesn't leak...and I have 3 of them.....but the one has started stinking like chemical?????weird.....I guess I'll throw it away. But the other 2 are lifesavers. I've had 2 hip replacements and a lumbar surgery and gone through many abscess teeth among other ailments with these things and they have been wonderful!!!!!! I just have to get rid of this one because when I put it in a towel and lay my face on it I can't stand the smell. I washed it with warm soapy water and that seemed to help, but alas, the smell came back....so, farewell dear friend..............in the trash you go. Well worth the money though for as long as it lasted!!!

Comfortable as far as its soft on skin but stays cold for 10 minutes at the longest.

This is a great product - I have two that measure about 10" x 5" and don't seem to find them in the market

Great Pain Reliever
I love these and depend highly for all my injuries. The price is great, just wish the quality was as it used to be. I still have some that are over 5 years old.

For a cold compress they work like any others. I too have tried 3 of the large ones. They all have leaked after just a few uses. I wouldn't buy another one. I suggest putting small beans in an old shirt and sew it up. Stick it in the freezer and its ready when you are. Works great for me.

leaks developed after some use
I just purchased my 3rd large reusable cold compress today. The first 2 worked well but developed leaks. They were not abused. I would suggest a change to the compress. Perhaps the addition of a more durable inner layer.
