3M™ Well Stimulant WS-1200 is a fluorinated material used to remediate condensate and/or water blockages in sandstone natural gas wells. By delivering substantial flow rate increases, this material can help improve gas production.

Our 3M™ Well Stimulant WS-1200 is a fluorinated material used to remediate condensate and/or water blockages in sandstone natural gas wells. It’s used to alter the wettability of a sandstone matrix or a silica based proppant pack.

Restricted Flow Rates? Problem Solved.
The issue: over time, nearly all gas wells reach a point where flowrates become restricted due to condensate banking, and/or water blockage. The solution: Our 3M well stimulant WS-1200 is formulated to stimulate fluid flow. It is non-reactive but adsorbs onto the substrate under reservoir conditions.

Laboratory experiments consistently demonstrate production improvements of 75-250%. WS-1200 also has the potential to be more economical, longer lasting and more effective than solvent flushes, gas cycling and other conventional methods. In field trials, we have observed sustained gas and condensate production improvements of up to 3X the production before treatment with WS-1200. We have also found that the treatment greatly reduces or eliminates production of connate water.

Applications
