3M™ VentureClad™ Heavy Duty Insulation Jacketing Tape 1579GCW-WME is a 16.0 mil heavy duty multi-layered laminate coated with an aggressive cold weather pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. This tape is designed to be used as a vapor barrier for insulation cladding and jacketing applications requiring reinforced protection. Its white, embossed texture improves aesthetics.

Reinforced Laminate with Zero Permeability Provides Vapor Barrier
3M™ VentureClad™ Heavy Duty Insulation Jacketing Tape 1579GCW-WME is a 16.0 mil, heavy duty multi-layered laminate coated with an aggressive cold weather pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that delivers excellent peel adhesion. With zero permeability, this tape serves as a vapor barrier, making it an ideal choice for applications where preventing air penetration is crucial. This tape is reinforced for high (55 lbs./244 N) puncture and tear resistance, allowing it to be used in interior and exterior applications where extra durability is required. It installs easily without the use of special tools. 3M™ VentureClad™ Heavy Duty Insulation Jacketing Tape 1579GCW-WME features an embossed texture that improves aesthetics. It includes a release liner to assist in applying the tape and to help protect the adhesive prior to application.

3M™ VentureClad™ Heavy Duty Insulation Jacketing Tape 1579GCW-WME is tested to ASTM E84 (20/30 Flame/Smoke Rating).

Adheres in Cold Temperatures
3M™ VentureClad™ Heavy Duty Insulation Jacketing Tape 1579GCW-WME features an aggressive pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that bonds and seals at temperatures as cold as -10°F (-23°C). This adhesive adheres immediately on contact to a variety of materials. It performs well under a broad range of temperatures ranging from -94°F to 248°F (-70°C to 120°C). Once bonded, this tape will provide good holding power for extended periods with good aging properties and resists lifting and curling over time.
