Our 3M™ Traction Tape 5461 is constructed with a white, polyester (PET) film and rubber adhesive on a silicone-coated paper liner. The unique properties of this anti-slip tape include a premium release surface that maintains a high coefficient of friction. We also engineered this traction tape with a durable, conformable backing that allows for wrapping smooth surfaces.

Premium and Durable High Friction Roller Tape
Featuring a premium release surface with a high coefficient of friction, we designed our 3M™ Traction Tape 5461 (PDF, 10.49 Kb) with a white, polyester (PET) film and rubber adhesive on a silicone-coated paper liner. This traction tape offers great traction and a non-stick surface. It has a durable and conformable backing that is able to wrap around smooth surfaces. This high friction tape is ideal for covering many process rollers that require low release (anti-stick) - without coating buildup and a high coefficient of friction (anti-slip) surface. When used to cover rollers in web processing, the release surface allows the web to release easily from the roll while still providing a friction surface. This provides the traction necessary to drive and guide the web. The easy release liner on the adhesive side allows this tape to be cut into many irregular shapes. Spiral wrapping can be used to smooth wrinkles.
