3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Hi-Temp Sealer EC-1137 is an inorganic sodium silicate with the consistency of a heavy paste. It features good adhesion and overlap shear strength when applied to cold rolled steel, stainless steel and aluminum surfaces, allowing sealing of exterior surfaces of aircraft or other applications where high temperature conditions might require protection. This sealer is designed to perform at extremely high temperatures, and can even withstand short-term exposure to temperatures as high as 2000°F/1093°C. To ensure ease of application and control, this thick, heavy paste can be easily applied with a spatula or putty knife. This helps reduce waste and increase precision of application while dispensing on the areas requiring protection.
