3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 7000NC is a mat mount featuring exclusive 3M technology that enables a very low binder content, suitable for low- and mid-temperature diesel applications, truck and off-road exhaust after treatment systems (DOC, DPF, SCR). Intumescent mat is suitable for devices with large diameter substrates and high gap openings. It contains solely non-classified inorganic fiber.

A Non-Classified Intumescent Mat Mount for Low- and Mid-Temp Applications
Developed specifically for diesel and other low-temperature applications, 3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 7000NC (PDF, 535.1 Kb) is excellent for Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). The material features exclusive 3M technology which delivers a very low binder content but maintains binder strength, highly suitable for low-temperature diesel operation. In fact, it performs across a wide temperature variance and is tested for performance at temps as high as 750°C. This intumescent mat includes carefully balanced amounts of vermiculite for heat expansion at higher temperatures and good gap opening compensation capability, making it especially suitable for designs with large-diameter substrates and high gap openings. This also makes for consistent performance in isothermic conditions.

Physical Properties of 3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 7000NC
3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 7000NC contains solely non-classified inorganic fibers which meet the requirements of European law and of German workplace legislation. It features a target density of 0.65 - 0.70 g/cm3 at a design range of 0.60 - 0.80 g/cm3, and is available in a range of weights and thicknesses for corresponding application gap targets of 4 mm to 6 mm.

3M intumescent automotive mats are designed to consistently hold and cushion the ceramic or other monolith, seal exhaust gases and deliver internal and external insulation under a variety of conditions.
