Frustrated
Cutting this giant piece of film has been impossible - I wasted three pieces, and therefore my money. Typically a big fan of 3M and this has been nothing but a giant headache!

Worst double sided tape possible!!!
Bought this kit one week ago and the tape already let loose. I’ve experienced this a year ago and thought I would be smart and put two strips of tape 90 degrees from the other and they both let loose on both strips . No I would never recommend this window kit to anyone PERIOD!

Quality has gone down
We have been using 3M window kits for over 14yrs with awesome results. This year however, the plastic will NOT shrink. We returned the 3 boxes we bought (thought maybe they were old), bought 3 more. Exactly the same problem. Over heated by blow dryer trying to get it to shrink. NO LUCK. So unhappy with this product. I don't know what cost cutting changes they made, but will look for other brands to try

I love the product
I've used the film for years and always satisfied with the performance. Keeps nasty drafts out and easy to put up. Only problem I have is separating the tape when I do, I fold it over so I can use it again without the hassle.

Window Insulator Kits poor quality lately
We have been filming our windows for 15 years or more. Have always bought 3M indoor insulating film. The process was always very smooth. Last year however, the tape pulled off of several windows mid way through the winter. We chalked it up to my husband shrinking too tight (I usually do the windows). This year we are covering our windows again and the film will NOT shrink, nor will the wrinkles heat out. I am terribly disappointed in the quality and can’t help but think that the tape issue we had last year is related to the dip in quality. We do not plan to use 3M again unless something changes.

No quality control on last two years worth
This winter (2017) I bought the two 5 window boxes of product. ($28 worth!) I've used this product for 15 years, every year, with no problems, here in Minnesota. Recommended it to many people. This year, (2017) the film had "fish eyes" throughout it when shrinking down. It was NOT overheated or shrunk too much, as some people tend to do. Really upset with this! Entire roll was lousy! I'm looking now for another brand product, as I like to have it on hand by the time October rolls around.

Double sided tape fail.
The double sided tape, that came with the kit, won't even hold for a full day. The window frames was clean and dry before application. Went for the 3M reputation, but it failed to impress...
