Runs Wet or Dry
We engineered our 3M™ Hookit™ Cloth Disc 359F with a water-resistant polyester cloth backing, so it could be run wet or dry. Known for their durability and flexibility, cloth-backed discs are a good first choice when working with metal or heavy wood stock removal. Our disc is resin-bonded, enabling it to withstand high heat and pressure. Its ability to withstand high pressure grinding contributes to its extended service life and, subsequently, reduces operating costs.

Our 3M™ Hookit™ Cloth Disc 359F features aluminum oxide mineral. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications and is suitable on a variety of substrates.

This disc is a great match for paint prep, defect repair or AOEM metal finishing.

3M™ Hookit™ Attachment
3M offers a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
