3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5622Q is a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene with a 65.9% fluorine content. This fluoroelastomer (FKM) is targeted for bonded shaft seal applications. It offers improved scorch resistance at high molding temperatures, and its proprietary incorporated curative may help save you time and increase throughput.

Excellent Mold Release
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5622Q can be used in automated injection molding equipment, because it exhibits excellent mold release. It also features properties that make it ideal for demanding bonded shaft seal applications.

Dyneon fluoroelastomer FE 5622Q can be compounded using standard water-cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical FKM formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum. For best results, FE 5622Q should be banded on the mill prior to adding the blended dry ingredients. Once mixed, the compounded stocks have good scorch resistance and storage stability.

Offering Different Quantities to Meet the Needs of the Job
Dyneon fluoroelastomer FE 5622Q is packaged in slab form and is available in a returnable bulk shipping container system for 1,320 Ibs (600 kg) of material. The bulk container system is comprised of 48 individual polyethylene bags containing 27.5 Ibs (12.5 kg) of product. Smaller quantities are available in 55.1 Ib (25.0 kg) boxes.
