    3M™ Dynamar™ Rubber Curative FX 5166 is a cure accelerator used as part of a system – along with 3M™ Dynamar™ FC 5157E and RC 5251Q – specifically for vulcanizing polyepichlorohydrin elastomers. This cure system is used in veneer fuel and filler hose constructions.

    Ideal for Veneer Fuel and Filler Hoses
    Polyepichlorohydrin compounds cured with 3M™ Dynamar™ Rubber Curatives are capable of bonding directly to incorporated cure 3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomers and 3M™ Dyneon™ THV Fluorothermoplastics without the use of bonding agents. Nitrile compounds containing Dynamar rubber curative FX 5166 also demonstrate the same characteristics. This is particularly useful in veneer hose constructions.

    The recommended concentration of Dynamar rubber curative FX 5166 is 0.5-2.0 phr. It can be added at any point during the mixing cycle, however best results are usually obtained when incorporated early in the mix – preferably to the gum directly after polymer breakdown.
