3M™ Copper-Coated PET Cloth Fabric Tape X-7001 has a 2.0-mil copper-plated polyester cloth backing that is coated on both sides with electrically conductive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive with a single liner.
The X-7001 tape has conductive cloth fabric backing offers the additional benefits of excellent flexibility and conformability, very light weight, exceptional strength and resistant to oxidation, solvents and oils. The fabric backing also minimizes the possibility of finger laceration. Highly conductive particles in the acrylic adhesive provide a multitude of electrical paths between both sides the application substrate and the surface of the conductive fabric backing. Acrylic adhesive has good resistance to heat, oxidation, solvents and oils. This tape is designed for a variety of applications: EMI/RFI shielding, grounding and static charge draining. These tapes can used in both electronic & electrical devices, shielding connectors & cables, shielded rooms and EMI test laboratories for prototyping, design and troubleshooting. The X-7001 tape is available from 3M in log rolls (standard size of 10.2 inch x 10.9 yds or 260 mm x 10,0 m) to 3M slitter/converters. Also, 3M offers to 3M authorized distributors (and slitter/converters) various size slit rolls for resale to end users. Custom die-cut parts are available from 3M slitter/converters.
