    Betafine™ PPG Series Filter Capsule is our absolute-rated, graded-porosity multi-layer 100% polypropylene pleated nonwoven filter with Advanced Pleat Technology (APT). APT increases the usable surface area while allowing the product to be offered in standard sizes. All-polypropylene material offers excellent chemical compatibility with many solvents.

    We combine performance enhancing features into our Betafine™ PPG Series Filter capsules (PDF, 3.99 Mb). Our Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) construction provides up to 50 percent more filter media (surface area) than our standard pleated filters. This design technology maximizes the useful surface area by maintaining open flow paths between media pleats. To increase the useful surface area and filter life, we designed Betafine PPG Series filter capsule so the pleating design and media support materials work together to provide enhanced flow characteristics.

    The filter media itself is made using absolute-rated, graded-density media. We ship each Betafine PPG filter capsule with a Certificates of Quality detailing the product attributes and qualification testing to help support your documentation requirements.

    The graded-density media structure we incorporate in Betafine™ PPG filters removes particles sequentially by size - the larger particles by the more open, outer layer; and the smaller particles by the tighter, inner layer.     Graded-Density - the Key to Longer Life
    The graded-density media structure we incorporate in Betafine™ PPG filters removes particles sequentially by size - the larger particles by the more open, outer layer; and the smaller particles by the tighter, inner layer. The outer layer in essences acts as a prefilter to the inner layer, which then provides the absolute removal specified by the filter rating. This configuration effectively spreads the contaminant throughout the depth of the filter, resulting in high contaminant capacity.

    We chose all-polypropylene construction in order to provide broad chemical compatibility. Betafine PPG filters have low extractable levels and are well-suited for process filtration of a wide range of fluids.

    Betafine PPG filters can be used for general prefiltration, clarification or as a final filter in appropriate applications.

    All product components comply with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <88> Class VI 70°C Biological Reactivity, in vivo.
