It is classified as FFKM per ASTM D1418.

Extreme environments require extraordinary sealing materials. 3M™ Dyneon™ Perfluoroelastomer PFE 40 combines reliable performance in harsh environments with ease of processing. With Dyneon PFE 40 Perfluoroelastomer, you get the outstanding chemical and steam resistance of a peroxide cure elastomer – without sacrificing mechanical properties, and without requiring the addition of acid acceptors like zinc oxide.

Designed for Wet Process Electronics Manufacturing
Due to its improved acid resistance and lower metal ion extractables, 3M™ Dyneon™ Peroxide Cure Perfluoroelastomer PFE 40 is ideal for wet process electronics manufacturing such as semiconductor and flat panel display. In addition, this perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) features many favorable attributes that make it suitable for wet chemical, fluid handling, cleaning, and chemical etching processes.

Dyneon peroxide cure perfluoroelastomer PFE 40 has a fully fluorinated backbone structure and is designed to meet demanding sealing applications, with an upper use temperature of 200°C (392°F). In addition, PFE 40 can be compounded for good acid resistance. This product is packaged in slab form and is available in 1 and 10 kg boxes.

    Top Performing Polymers from 3M
