Driving to improve our Industry

  • America’s veterans need good careers after their service, and collision repair industry needs good technicians. Since 2013, 3M and the non-profit Collision Repair Education Foundation have raised nearly $1,065,000 to help veterans and their families join the autobody industry. To date, 3M Hire Our Heroes fund has awarded scholarships and tool grants for over 330 recipients.

In 2018, donors to the fund had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a professional race car on a NASCAR® track and race in Las Vegas for the 3M Hire Our Heroes Trophy. Other donors won authentic racing helmet, autographed by 40 NASCAR® drivers. This effort raised over $100,000.

Scholarship information can be found on the Collision Repair Education Foundation website.
