    How to Mask — Standard Windows

    With the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ System, paint prep for standard windows is faster and easier.

    • Standard Windows Step 1

      Step 1:

      Pre-tape the bottom of the window.

    • Standard Windows Step 2

      Step 2:

      Use the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ M3000 Dispenser to apply film to the top of the window trim.

    • Standard Windows Step 3

      Step 3:

      Unfold the film and adhere to the pre-taped bottom of the window. Tape the sides.

    Save valuable time and money by masking arched windows with the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ System.

    • Arched Windows Step 1

      Step 1:

      Pre-tape the sides and bottom of the window.
    • Arched Windows Step 2

      Step 2:

      Use the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ M3000 Dispenser to apply film to the top of the window trim.

      Unfold the film and adhere to the pre-taped sides and bottom of the window.

    The 3M™ Hand-Masker™ System is ideal for masking bathtub inserts, showers, sinks, toilets and other bathroom fixtures.

    • Bathtub Inserts Step 1

      Step 1:

      Pre-tape one side of the bathtub insert.

    • Bathtub Inserts Step 2

      Step 2:

      Use the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ M3000 Dispenser to apply film to the opposite side of the insert.

      Step 3:

      Unfold the film and adhere to the pre-taped side of the insert.


    How to Mask — Exterior Surfaces

    Use the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ System for complete coverage on exterior surfaces.

    • Exterior Surfaces Step 1

      Step 1:

      Use the 3M™ Hand-Masker™ M3000 Dispenser to apply film across top of the glass. Secure tape with left hand. Cut film to length.

    • Exterior Surfaces Step 2

      Step 2:

      Pre-tape the bottom edge of the window to be masked.

    • Exterior Surfaces Step 3

      Step 3:

      Unfold the film and adhere it to the tape at the bottom of the window, folding any excess film under and back between the film and window. Tape the sides.
