In June 2022, the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) reconvened in Hamburg, Germany following a three-year hiatus from in-person gatherings. The event brought together representatives from hundreds of airlines and cabin interior suppliers to explore the latest advancements in aircraft interior part design and manufacture.

3M has been a leading supplier featured at AIX for over 10 years. In Hamburg, the 3M Aerospace team joined OEM and Tier partners to discuss major market trends and design challenges that have confronted the industry since COVID-19 grounded air travel more than two years prior.

With passenger air traffic rapidly returning, aircraft build rates in the coming years are expected to far surpass pre-COVID-19 levels. Bringing a wide range of experiences and perspectives on interior part manufacture, the 3M Aerospace team was glad to be back at AIX to help our industry partners rise to the challenge.
