3M™ DS Housings are our high quality, low costs pressure vessels constructed from 316L stainless steel and have a simple and robust construction. They’re fitted with a V-band clamp or swing bolt closure system for simple and rapid opening and cartridge change-out.
Use 3M™ DS Housings for baton style filter cartridges. They’re suitable for most industrial applications and other processes where 316L materials are required.

Sizes and operating conditions
3M DS housings are produced in two families – 5 round (1, 2, 3 and 4 high) and 12 round (3 and 4 high) and so cover a broad range of Equivalent Standard Length (EQSL) options. Operating conditions are up to 10 bar g and temperatures of up to 110 °C.
Actual operating temperatures will depend on the cartridge types and on the PED 2014/68/CE regulations that are applicable to pressure vessels. They are supplied ready for Double Open Ended (DOE) cartridge use, but can be adapted to Single Open Ended (SOE) use (Type 222 end connections) using an adaptor accessory that is sold separately.

3M DS vessels are produced for Article 4.3 ‘Sound Engineering practise’.
Construction materials
Typically, all wetted surfaces are 316L stainless steel with some small parts in polypropylene. Other parts are supplied in 304 stainless steel or similar.
Gaskets
Nitrile gaskets are supplied as standard. A wide range of other gasket materials can also be supplied.
Inlet and outlet options
3M DS housings are supplied with threaded male BSP (05DS family) and DIN inlet / Outlet flanges (12DS family).
Surface finish
3M DS housings have a high-quality pickle passivated interior with an electro-polished exterior finish.
ATEX 2014/34/CE
3M DS housings are approved for use in ATEX condition II 2 GD IIC.
