1. How do I enter?
To enter, you’ll need to create original artwork designed with Post-it® Products that fits the theme, “In 30 years I will…”
In addition to submitting your artwork, you’ll need to write a 50-70 word explanation of your submission and why it finishes the sentence, “In 30 years I will…” The artwork, explanation and Official Entry Form are considered your “entry.” All three elements must be included.

4. I don’t know what type of design or artwork to create. Can you explain the contest theme, “In 30 years I will” ?
The Post-it® Brand has always been about creativity – and we want to see yours! We want to let your imagination soar as you interpret your future by creating a design or artwork that fits the theme, “In 30 years I will…”
Whether you see yourself saving the world or raising a family – we want to see it all! You can think about life, your future job, your family, where you might live, your school, your friends, how you would like to make a difference in the world and more! Simply use the approved Post-it® Products to describe and show us your vision of 30 years from now.

5. Is the competition open to anyone?
The Post-it® 30th Anniversary Billboard Student Design Contest is open to 6th grade – 12th grade students (students ages 11 – 18).

6. Are there rules and guidelines about how to create my billboard design using Post-it® Products?
Yes, your billboard design has to meet specific size and design requirements. Your artwork must be created on paper that is a minimum size of 22” x 28” (standard poster board size) and a maximum size of 3’ x 5’. Your Post-it® Brand billboard design must be created with, and must contain a minimum of 85% Post-it® Products, including but not limited to: Post-it® Notes, tabs, flags, page markers, labels, journals and writing tools.
Your artwork cannot include any glue, tape or any other adhesive products. Photographs, photocopies or scanned images are not acceptable as an entry; however, they can be incorporated into the original artwork submitted as an entry.

7. Can my friends and I enter the contest together as a team?
Yes – you can enter the Post-it® Brand 30th Anniversary Billboard Student Design Contest as an individual OR as a team that consists of up to three (3) students.

9. What types of Post-it® Products can I use to create my billboard design?
Your original billboard design should be created with a minimum of 85% Post-it® Products. This includes:

(Note: these can be regular Post-it® Notes, Super Sticky Notes or pop-up notes)
- Post-it® List Pads in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors
- Post-it® Durable Tabs
- Post-it® Removable Labels

10. If I don’t have the approved Post-it® Products at home, where can I find them?
Post-it® Products are sold nationally at office superstores and mass merchandise retailers. The suggested retail prices for Post-it® Productsrange from approximately $1.99 to $14.99, depending on the product.
To help you get started, we will send complimentary Post-it® Billboard Starter Kits to the first 100 students who call
1-877-303-4392 and provide us with your name, phone number, address and email. The starter kit contains a selection of Post-it® Products to help you create and build your billboard design.

11. Why is the Post-it® Brand sponsoring this contest?
April 2010 marks a ‘note’-worthy milestone for the Post-it® Brand. In honor of our 30th Anniversary we are celebrating some values that are most important to us – innovation, education, creativity and art.
As supporter of art education programs in schools, the Post-it® Brand has teamed up with Publicolor, a non-profit organization that uses color, collaboration, design and the painting process to re-engage students in their education, schools and communities. Together as partners, we are launching the Post-it® Brand 30th Anniversary Billboard Student Design Contest, which fuses art and color with students’ creativity and inspiration in a large and visible way.

12. How will my Post-it® Brand billboard design entry be judged?
Entries that follow all of the rules and regulations will be broken down into two age categories for judging. The student age categories are 11 – 14 years-old and 15 – 18 years-old. The design contest judging will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity (25%): The originality of your design and concept
- Execution (25%): The visible quality of your work and its construction
- Appeal (25%): How your artwork stands out compared to others
- Innovative use of Post-it® Products (25%): The way you incorporate the approved Post-it® Products into your design
Both the artwork and the 50 -70 word explanation will be judged on the basis of these criteria.

13. Who are the judges?
All qualifying Post-it® Student Design Contest entries will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges that includes acclaimed portrait artist, Eric Daigh, 3M, members of non-profit partner organization, Publicolor, and a popular celebrity, who passionately supports the presence of art education within schools. The celebrity partner will be revealed in early Summer 2010.

15. What are the student prizes?
If you (or your team) are selected as the Grand Prize Winner the Post-it® 30th Anniversary Billboard Student Design Contest, you will be awarded the following:
- A $5,000 prize to be awarded to the individual/team (up to 3 team members)
- 3-day/2-night trip for two to New York City to unveil the Post-it® Brand Billboard with the celebrity judge. The trip includes round trip coach air transportation from the closest major airport to the winner’s home to New York City, and 2 nights double occupancy hotel accommodations
- The opportunity to work with an artist to create the design for a New York City billboard made out of Post-it® Notes
- Attend the New York City press conference to unveil the billboard with a well-known celebrity judge
- One-year supply of Post-it® Products for his/her school

16. So if I win the contest, will my exact design appear on the billboard?
The Grand Prize Winner or winning team will have the opportunity to work with an artist to help create a billboard made entirely of Post-it® Notes that will be on display in August 2010 in New York City. If you’re selected as the Grand Prize Winner, your design will help inspire the Post-it Brand 30th Anniversary billboard.

17. Why do my parents have to grant permission for me to enter?
A parent/legal guardian signature is required because you are a minor. We need parent/legal guardian’s permission to collect personally identifiable information from you for this promotion. Their signature also gives you permission to participate in promotion and consents to the Official Rules of the promotion, including making media appearances on the Sponsor’s behalf. Entries received without parental signature will not be included in the judging.
