organizational tips.

Solution 1: A Better Way to Run Errands

Start the week by creating a master to-do list on a sheet of paper (chores, errands, appointments, etc.)

Break down the list by writing each day's to-dos on a Post-it Sortable Card.

OR

Group tasks by day, by location or by priority. Record that information in the card's header to keep track.

Stick the finished cards up in a convenient location.

Remove the cards when you leave for appointments or errands (the cards stack easily without sticking together!). Place them in your car or bag, to serve as a visual reminder.

Sort through the cards as you run your errands to see if other tasks can be accomplished while you're out. If priorities change, simply shuffle your cards to reassess and modify your schedule.

Solution 2: Family Chore Pick and Stick

Delegate chores to family members by writing each chore on a Post-it Sortable Card. Use the headers for due dates or for a reward for completing the chore.

Assign each family member their tasks for the week by having each person select a card. Then they stick their cards in a visible location (bedroom door, bathroom mirror) as a reminder.

Once the chores are completed, each person can let the family know by sticking his or her card up in a centralized location. Recurring chore cards can be reused each week, or you can add new ones.
