- Maximum height 0.750 inch (19.1 mm), minimum height 0.085 inch (2.2 mm), not including tape liner.
Height to base aspect ratio cannot exceed 0.75; that is, the product's height can be no more than 75% of its smallest base dimension.
- Draft angle is proportional to Bumpon protector height. A minimum of 5¼ angle is required.
- No concave surfaces are possible, except for the product's top surface.
- Base of Bumpon protector must be flat. Minimum base dimension is 0.2 inch, and the maximum base dimension is 4.5 inch.
- Bumpon protector base has a slight lip around it. The average height of this surrounding material (plus adhesive) is 0.02 inch (0.51 mm).
- No sharp edges. Edges are slightly rounded.
- Certain Bumpon protector shapes may require a base radius (slightly concave).
Setup Charges: A one-time set-up charge is required for new custom shapes, and a one-time charge of $150 for color match may be applicable.
Minimum Order Quantities: Standard 3M™ Bumpon™ Protective Products are typically available in case quantities of 1,000 to 5,000 pieces. For custom product orders, the typical minimum order quantity is 60,000 pieces.
Form: Bumpon protectors can be provided in pad, strip, roll and sheet form.
Adhesives: Select from 3M high-performance acrylic or rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesives. For pigmented Bumpon protectors, foam tapes are available for textured surfaces. For clear Bumpon protectors, extra thick acrylic adhesives are available for textured surfaces. A high-tack acrylic adhesive is also available for clear Bumpon protectors.
Material: Pigmented or clear polyurethane. Hardness: Shore A 70 pigmented, Shore A 75 clear.
