What you'll need:

You will need a valid library card to use the 3M Cloud Library App and your library needs to have a subscription to the 3M Cloud Library service.

Installing the 3M Cloud Library App
on a Kindle Fire (HDX) Installation

Use these instructions to download and install the 3M Cloud Library app on your Kindle Fire. This process requires Android 2.3.3 and up. The Kindle app will NOT notify you of system updates. To get the latest version, uninstall and reinstall the app using the instructions below.

Complete this first task only if you haven’t enabled your Kindle for apps from “unknown sources”.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap Applications.

  4. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. A warning message will display, tap ok.

  5. Tap Home to return home.

You are now ready to download and install the 3M™ Cloud Library app

  1. From either the Kindle Home or Apps screen tap on the Silk browser.

  2. Download the Kindle Fire App file.


  3. Tap Confirm to the download prompt.
  4. Tap Download Complete. Tap to open prompt.
  5. At Do you want to install this application? tap Install.
  6. When the app installed screen appears, tap Done.
  7. Tap Home.

  8. Tap on the 3M Cloud Library icon.

  9. Tap the Connect to Your Library button.

  10. Select your Country from the drop down and then choose your State.
  11. Select your Library from the list.
  12. Enter your Library Credentials, agree to the End User License Agreements, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Installation is complete. You are ready to use the 3M Cloud Library.

Note: The dictionary feature of our app is unavailable on the Kindle Fire. This is a known issue.
