Why Use Nexcare?

The Cold Sore Solution: Nexcare™ Cold Sore Treatment

We Can Help

There's a fresh new face in cold sore treatments. Cold sore sufferers can rely on the Nexcare formula. It contains benzocaine for fast pain relief and allantoin to soften unsightly scabs and to help prevent the cold sore from drying and cracking. There is also a significant presence of natural ingredients, including Tea Tree Oil and Vitamin E. It is also fast absorbing, non-greasy and dries clear.

Finally, cold sore sufferers can survive outbreaks feeling more comfortable and confident.

How Benzocaine Works

A cold sore virus causes inflamation and tissue damage. In response your body triggers pain receptors (figure 1). Benzocaine temporarily blocks the pain receptors, reducing the pain (figure 2).

How Allantoin Works

As a cold sore heals it forms a stiff scab (figure 3). This scab can crack and bleed causing pain and sensitivity to sour foods (figure 4). Allantoin softens the scab making it flexible and resistant to cracking (represented by the difference between figures 5 and 6).
