3M Touch Systems Unveils New MicroTouch EX II Gaming Controller Targeted to Enhance Game-Play

Methuen, Mass. - October 5, 2004 -- 3M Touch Systems, Inc. announces a new touch screen electronics controller for gaming, the MicroTouch EX II. This controller surpasses today's gaming regulations and requirements while providing fast and accurate touch response. It will be demonstrated at the Global Gaming Expo this week in Las Vegas and is expected to be available in Jan. 2005.

"When integrated with today's ClearTek curved or flat capacitive product, or the new ClearTek II, this new gaming controller meets, and exceeds, the electro-static discharge regulations adopted by different state gaming commissions," said Mark Lavoie, product manager, 3M Touch Systems. "The EX II gaming controller enhances game-play with on-board firmware that allows interactive 3D game support and rapid-play capability for games like Keno and Bingo."
