3M™ Flux Field Directional Materials (FFDM) are useful in the 13.56 MHz frequency range for RFID and NFC applications to isolate the NFC or RFID antenna from metal surfaces by directing the antenna flux fields away from the metal object or surface.

3M FFDM solutions are highly permeable, low loss near field communications materials with enhanced performance compared to NFC absorbers and RFID absorbers. FFDM’s de-couple the NFC or RFID antenna by directing the flux field away from metal surfaces, reducing the eddy current loss and improving read range.
