The Automotive Aftermarket Division (AAD) is dedicated to improving the physical and mechanical condition of all kinds of vehicles. The panel beater and plastic bumper repairer look to AAD for solutions. Products under the 3M brand name include: abrasive sheets, discs and rolls; sanding accessories; cut-off wheels, buffing pads, polishes and glazes; plastic parts repair material and masking systems.

The division markets adhesives, coatings, sealers, masking tapes, attachment tape remover, scuff pads, adhesive cleaners, wax removers, car care products plus packaging tapes, and hearing and respiratory protection.

In South Africa the products are sold exclusively through a distribution network who sell 3M products nationally.

In addition to the Automotive Aftermarket we also have a Marine Trades Department. The products marketed by Marine Trades help watercraft of all kinds and sizes remain seaworthy. Products are used for the manufacture, repair and maintenance of commercial and recreational vessels, including the cruise and shipbuilding markets. The line includes 3M respiratory protection products, abrasives, buffing pads, rubbing compounds, polishes, tapes and masking paper, adhesives and sealants.
The Marine Trades Department specializes in selling to the original equipment manufacturer, ship builder, ship repair, aftermarket and consumer segments of the marine industry.
