FusionBonded
for Proven Performance
Corrosion
Protection 3M, the leader in epoxy coating
technology, offers a complete line of Scotchkote coatings
engineered for the optimum corrosion protection of metal
in the harshest environments, including saltwater, wastewater,
petrochemicals, solvents and corrosive gases. Scotchkote,
a heat-cured,100 percent-solids, thermosetting epoxy,
delivers superior physical performance and provides
excellent resistance to abrasion, wear, compression
and cavitation. Whether your method is fluidized
bed, spray or electrostatic, 3M has a Scotchkote coating
to give total, smooth, pinhole-free coverage to your
specific application.

Scotchkote 134
Scotchkote 134
is suited for electrostatic or flock spray on hot parts
where a heavy build is required. Because of its
long gel time(up to 2.5 minutes at 350¢µ[177¡É]), Scotchkote
134 allows plenty of time to coat large surface areas
or parts with complex recesses without fear of runs,
sags or laminations. The coating can also be applied
cold electrostatically. Scotchkote 134 coating is accepted
by the Environmental protection Agency. It also
conforms to the requirements of NSF Standard 61, for
use as a coating in contact with potable water.
Scotchkote 134 also meets the requirements of American
Water Works Association standards C550 ad C213.

Scotchkote 413SG and 215SG Scotchkote 413 and 215
spray grade coatings are formulated for spray application
onto welded wire fabric, reinforcing steel and cable
tensioning hardware preheated to between 250¡Æand 450¢µ(121¡232¡É).
When fully cured, the coatings are extremely flexible
and meet FHWA requirements for corrosion prevention
on reinforcing steel in bridges and a variety of related
highway applications. Scotchkote 413SG and 215SG
meet ASTM D 3963/D 3963M, ASTM A 775/A 775M, ASTM A
884, AASHTO M281/M284 and AASHTO M254.

Scotchkote 426 and 436 Scotchkote 426 and 436
provide excellent adhesion and coverage on concrete
reinforcing steel bars and other steel members prefabricated
to any size or shape. Scotchkote 426 and 436 are
resistant to cathodic disbondment and corrosive agents
such as seicing salts, airborne salt spray, sea water,
harsh chemicals, acid rain, carbonation, contaminated
aggregate and concrte additives. Scotchkote 426
and 436 meet CAN/CSA-Z 245.20-M92 and British Gas GBE/CW6
without pretreatment. They also meet ASTM A 775/A
7775M, ASTM D 3963/D 3963M, AASHTO M 284, AASHTO M 254,
and ASTM A 884-93, except in flexibility.

Scotchkote 206N Scotchkote 206N is ideally suited
for plant application on the interior and exterior of
pipe. Designed to provide excellent corrosion protection
under varying perating conditions, the coating is unaffected
by soil stress and is hightly resistant to moisture
penetration, bacteria and fungus attack, soil acids,
alkalies, salts and other chemicals associated with
underground and underwater use. Scotchkote 206N
is accepted by the Environmental Protection Agency and
conforms to the requirements of NSF Standard 61 for
use as a coating in contact with potable water.
Scotchkote 206N meets the requirements of American Water
Works Association Standard C213. A special grade of
206N is available for application by fluidized bed.

Scotchkote 226N Scotchkote 226N provides
protection against cathodic disbondment and hot, wet
conditions, the major problems associated with buried
pipe. Scothkote 226N adheres under the stress of
changing temperatures and soil compaction. It bonds
to line pipe, girth welds and associated fittings, and
provides the best protection available against corrosive
soil, hydrocarbons, harsh 226N meets the requirements
of American Water Works Association Standard C213 and
C550, and meets CAN/CSA-Z245.20-M92 and British Gas
PS/CW6 without pretreatment.
