3M Occupational Health and Safety Services, a division of 3M Canada, offers a wide range of occupational hygiene services to meet the needs of our clients. Our programs provide dependable, cost effective, solutions that will ensure compliance, simplify communication and enhance productivity.
3M has been developing designing and managing respiratory protection programs for over 40 years. We have unmatched experience in quantitative and qualitative fit testing of all makes and models of respirators.
Current services offered by us include the following:

Training
The following programs are currently available:
1) 3M’s Respirator User Training
2) 3M’s Advanced Respirator Training
3) 3M’s Qualitative Fit Testing Workshop
4) 3M’s Hearing Conservation Training (for the worker)
Respirator Fit Testing
The following services are currently available
1) Qualitative Fit Testing
2) Quantitative Fit Testing
3) Fit Testing Supervision
Fit Testing includes Fit Test Records in accordance with CSA Z94.4, and personal laminated fit test cards
Respiratory Protection Program Development
A Respiratory Protection Program is a formal plan outlining how respirators will be used within the workplace. If respirators are used, a written respirator program must be in place.
To develop your facility specific respirator program, 3M will conduct an onsite walk-through survey to determine that:
• Respiratory hazards have been properly identified
• The correct equipment is available to do the job and is used correctly
• Respirators are well-maintained and function properly
• Supervisors, Healthcare Providers, and Union Representatives understand safe work procedures and that workers are trained in these procedures including the correct use of respirators
3M’s company-specific Respiratory Program Manual provides appropriate written procedures outlining:
• Responsibilities
• Respiratory Hazard Identification
• Selection
• Use of Respirators
• Training
• Fit Testing
• Inspection and Maintenance
• Cleaning and Storage
• Requisition and Distribution
• Medical Surveillance
• Record keeping
