Introduces New Photo Laminating Products
London, Ontario
- Photographs are records of
our lives but so often they are stuffed into purses or boxes
and bent, tattered or torn. Now, you can preserve your memories
in a simple, easy-to-use fashion. 3M has just introduced Photo
Laminating Sheets to help keep your photographs safe.
In 1995, amateur Canadian photographers spent
over two billion dollars on photofinishing and purchased over
89 million rolls of film. Only ten percent of all those pictures
ever end up in albums. The rest of those photos need to be
protected.
Rod Lacroix, Marketing Administration Manager
for 3M says "the 3M Photo Laminating Sheets are unique
because they have been approved by the Rochester Institute
of Technology (RIT) as being safe for coming in contact with
photographs." The Photo Laminating Sheets are made with
PET (polyester) film, a more expensive but extremely durable
and stable film.
The Photo Laminating Sheets are ideal for parents
and grandparents who carry photos in their wallets or purses;
for high school students who exchange their class photos;
for photographs inserted in family Christmas cards or for
photos posted on the fridge.
Lacroix says the Photo Laminating Sheets are
also great for "the new type of photo quality that can
be produced from computers using inkjet or LaserJet printers."
The dual-sided laminated sheet can easily be
applied permanently in just seconds, with no heat or machines
required.
The Photo Laminating Sheets are available in
three convenient photograph sizes: 5" x 7", 4"
x 6" and wallet size (2.5" x 3.5"). Each size
is sold in packages of five.
