Introduces New Automotive Refinishing Tape
London.The 3M
Automotive Aftermarket Division recently introduced a new
automotive refinish masking tape, ScotchT 233+, that is the
next generation of the industry standard #233 automotive tape.
This high performance masking tape is designed to exceed the
needs of today's collision repair shops.
After years of product development, research
and a three-year test sell, Scotch 233+ Automotive Refinish
Masking Tape was launched to the collision repair industry.
Product features (such as the bright green colour
of the masking tape) are a result of feedback 3M received
from customers. "Based on field tests using different coloured
backings, our customers suggested we change the colour of
our tape", says Rick Berg, market manager, 3M Automotive Aftermarket.
"The bright green colour selected provides more contrast when
masking straight edges and makes it easier to identify the
tape when de-masking."
Some of the other benefits of Scotch 233+ are:
- Outstanding conformability and holding power
- Improved adhesive transfer resistance for
clean removal
- Excellent performance under a variety of
climatic conditions
