introduces 3M™ Zaris™ Professional Tooth Whitening
System

System makes process easy for Dental Professionals and Patients
London...The 3M™
Zaris™ professional tooth whitening system, an easy-to-use
system that features a 3M patented technology that provides
excellent whitening results, is now available in Canada from
3M Dental Products. This new whitening system also includes
education materials for both staff and patients.
"This product was developed based on
what dental professionals wanted to see in a whitening system.
With so many whitening products available today, we wanted
to develop a product that met the needs of dentists, their
staff and patients alike," says Beth Hanson, market supervisor,
3M Dental Products.
Based upon the input of dental professionals,
3M created a unique peel-and-stick gel retention insert which
replaces time-consuming block-out resin.
"The gel retention insert incorporates
3M's patented micro-replicated surface on one side with adhesive
technology on the other," explains Hanson, "This design holds
the gel in the tray, prolonging contact with the teeth, and
promoting great whitening results. The design also assists
in faster and easier tray fabrication compared to making traditional
trays." Hanson adds, "Many patients should notice an improvement
after three sessions of whitening."
Flexible treatment choices help ensure patient
compliance. The gel can be applied during the daytime, at
night, or through a combination of daytime and nighttime wear.
After the whitening treatment is completed, a re-touch kit
is available to help patients maintain their results for years.
The whitening gel is available in 10 percent
and 16 percent carbamide peroxide concentrations in syringes
that are clearly marked for easy and accurate dispensing.
Along with the 3M Zaris professional tooth
whitening system, each introductory kit includes education
materials to promote whitening in the dental practice. All
education materials are available in both English and French.
Each kit features:
- staff instructions,
- tray fabrication instructions,
- shade guides,
- technique guides,
- patient education video and printed materials,
- promotional materials,
- tear-off information sheet with questions
and answers about whitening for the patient,
- a "smile-catching" mirror.
This system also takes into account the needs
of the patient. It includes:
