New
Hearing Protection Products from 3M Provide Superior Comfort,
Noise Reduction, Worker Acceptance
London - 3M is introducing new hearing
conservation products designed to help protect workers while
increasing comfort and ease of use.
- The new 3M Model 1310 banded hearing
protector has a unique, flexible band designed to reduce
its proximity to and prevent rubbing against the worker's
clothing, which can transmit a rustling noise through the
band to the wearer's ears. A set of replacement pads is
available for the 1310, which is intended for intermittent
use. The Model 1310 has a noise reduction rating of 21 when
worn behind the head and 20 when worn under the chin.
- The 3M Model 1260 reusable earplug
features a triple flange shape for a better fit. The 3M
Model 1261 is the same product but is available with a carrying
case that can be clipped to the worker's clothing or hardhat.
It has a noise reduction rating of 25.
- The 3M Model 1270 reusable earplug,
which is similar to the Model 1260 but has a cloth cord
that drapes over the worker's shoulders and reduces noise
transmission to the worker's ears. It is also available
with a carrying case as the Model 1261. It also has a noise
reduction rating of 25.
