3M's New Scotch-Brite™ High Performance Cloth is So Effective, You Can Clean Without Chemicals

London, Ontario... 3M's new Scotch-Brite™ High Performance Cloth is the perfect multi-purpose cloth for key areas in manufacturing facilities where performance counts.

The High Performance Cloth provides ultra cleaning power because of its knitted, interwoven design of water- and oil-absorbing microfibers that lift and trip liquids, grease, dust and dirt particles. Surfaces are left cleaner than with conventional wipes.

When used dry or damp, it is excellent for the removal of: grease and silicone from injection molded parts, solvents, dust residue, abrasive residue, splatter from welding, compounds, polish residues, waxes and fingerprints.

"In a fingerprint removal test, using Synthetic Sebum Oil, after 10 passes, the three leading competitors could not achieve the 90%+ effectiveness that the Scotch-Brite High Performance Cloth can in just one pass," explains Scott Mitchell, marketing supervisor, Commercial Care Products. "In addition, the faster removal of residue, means less labour involved, and the possible elimination of the use of solvents," adds Mitchell.

The High Performance Wipe provides smear-free and streak-free cleaning when used damp or dry. The cloth does not scratch surfaces, but can pick up particles that do. It is resistant to common cleaning chemicals and is machine washable up to 95 degrees Celsius. This cloth is durable without loss of performance and can result in less waste than conventional or paper wipes.

This new Scotch-Brite cloth is ideal in many areas of the manufacturing process such as: in-process cleanup of products, finishing/detailing areas, final inspection, packaging, and quality control.

The cloth is 32 cm X 36 cm in size and is available in five colours (white, blue, green, yellow, and red).
