3M Canada Appoints Roland Boivin to Lead Company’s Operations in Québec

MONTREAL, QC – Today 3M, a global diversified technology company, announced the appointment of Roland Boivin to the post of General Manager to lead the company’s operations in Quebec. In this newly-created role, Roland becomes a member of the 3M Canada Management Operating Committee.

Boivin will be responsible for sales deployment, new product and application development, new business development including alliances and acquisitions, and developing a growth plan specifically for the Quebec market.

In 1990, Boivin began his 3M career in Montreal and held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing management and business leadership thereafter.

Boivin, who graduated with a bachelor’s of commerce degree from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University, is excited by the prospects the new job holds. “It would surprise a lot of people to know that innovative and practical 3M solutions are part of everyday life in Quebec,” said Boivin. “My priority is growing this market by showcasing the diversity of technologies we offer – solutions that can help solve problems before most people even realize they have them.”
