Vehicle Graphics Design Awards

PMTC & 3M Commercial Graphics Call for Entries

London, ON – The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is calling for entries for the 22nd Annual Vehicle Graphics Design Awards competition. Co-sponsored by 3M Canada’s Commercial Graphics Division, the Vehicle Graphics Design Awards recognize truck fleet operators (private or for-hire) and graphic design companies who graphically enhance their vehicles. The competition is open to all Canadian fleet operators; entry deadline is May 1, 2007; and entry details are available at www.pmtc.ca.

“These awards reflect one of the positive images of the trucking industry,” says Bruce Richards, President, Private Motor Truck Council of Canada. “Through the Vehicle Graphics Design Awards Competition, the PMTC is able to promote the work of fleet operators and graphic houses. We are very pleased to be able to provide a forum with which to recognize the efforts of fleets and graphic houses from all across Canada.”

“The competition has grown in popularity and numbers over the years”, said Lynn Daly, Market Manager, for 3M’s Commercial Graphics group, “particularly in the last four or five years. It is a wonderful promotional opportunity for entrants as the results are not only displayed during the PMTC conference in June, but in a number of industry magazines as well.”

“The public responds well to these rolling billboards, and the fleets take enormous pride in their appearance,” says Richards. “Companies that use fleet graphics while delivering their products are making the best possible use of the marketing opportunities that their fleet offers.”

3M Commercial Graphics has sponsored the event for 22 years now. “We are proud to be a part of the competition that recognizes fleet graphics,” says Lynn Daly, Market Manager, 3M Commercial Graphics. “Fleet graphics are an eye-catching, cost-effective advertising medium and they can be a key component of a company's advertising budget.”
