3M Canada’s Commercial Graphics
Division Signs Pilot Agreement With Market Information Services
Of Canada
3M Canada’s Commercial Graphics Division is pleased to
announce the signing of a pilot agreement with Market
Information Services of Canada (MISC), a leading provider of
outdoor advertising management and measurement services.
Using Satellite Automated Media Information software (SAMI),
MISC is able to track, measure, and provide sustainable proof
of performance for fleet and vehicle advertising, and then
translate that information into advertising metrics.
“SAMI, in combination with MISC’s comprehensive
information technology system, makes it possible for 3M to
provide credible, sustainable measurement numbers, and proof
of performance data for this highly efficient form of
advertising”, says Commercial Graphics Marketing
Operations Manager, Shelagh Morrison.
While fleet graphics are widely recognized as an efficient
way to achieve mass reach of an advertising message,
advertising agencies or media buying groups have not treated
fleet as a mainstream media because there was no proven way of
accurately tracking and measuring the Daily Effective
Circulation (DEC), or audience impressions over a certain
period of time.
"MISC is delighted to have reached an agreement with 3M to
bring measurement and credibility to the fleet advertising
industry. 3M is recognized the world over as a leader in
technical innovation and we are excited that they have chosen
to work with us and our strategic partners on this project.
We are confident that the results of this pilot project and
the service offering 3M is introducing to the market will
provide advertisers and agencies the tools and data needed to
bring fleet into their mainstream media mix" - Andy McRae, VP
Sales and General Manager, Market Information Services of
America (MISA).
As the leading supplier of Commercial Graphics’ inks
and materials in Canada today, and backed by the strongest
sales force in the industry, the MISC Alliance represents a
new leadership initiative to drive accelerated growth and
end-user relevance.
