3M Introduces A New Way To “Perfect” It

London, ON - The name says it all. 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Paint Finishing Systems are the revolutionary way to repair large panels. Now, 3M introduces the 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Trizact™ Spot Repair System for spot and small panel repairs. Bodyshop owners are about to discover the simplicity of strikingly beautiful repair jobs, while increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The 3M Perfect-It III Trizact Spot Repair System is implemented employing 3M™ Trizact™ Abrasives technology, which feature pyramid-shaped structures that contain multiple layers of abrasive mineral. So when the abrasive wears, fresh, sharp minerals are continuously exposed. The result is a consistently smooth finish unlike anything else.

The Perfect-It System is exactly that, a system, which 3M expertise has developed and will guide shop owners and operators through the step-by-step process. The operator begins with either dry or wet sanding, keeping in mind that dry sanding is two to three times faster, thus increasing productivity and profit for the shop, as well as being less messy. Dependent on the sanding choice, either 3M™ Finishing Film Discs are used or 3M™ Imperial™ Wetordry™ Paper Sheets. Scratch refinement is the next step. The Trizact Abrasive is dampened and sanding is initiated until the scratches are removed. Next, using 3M™ Perfect-It™ Foam Polishing Pads and 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Machine Glaze, swirl marks are removed and the surface is polished in this machine glazing step. Next the 3M Finishing Glaze is applied. This will protect the new paint while allowing it to breathe for final curing. The surface is then wiped clean with 3M™ Perfect-It™ Detailing Cloths. It’s that simple.
