3M Marine Introduces a Non-Yellowing Sealant
New sealant offers long-lasting beauty and is comfortable to work with

London, ON - 3M Marine introduces the 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4000 UV, a sealant that is ideal for above waterline applications and does not yellow when exposed to sunlight or the harsh marine environment.

"Unlike most other sealants on the market, 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4000 UV maintains its crisp, white colour long after it has been applied," says Andrew Spencer, 3M Marine OEM Market Manager.

The 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4000 UV is a low odour and low volatile organic compound product, making it comfortable to work with. It is caulkable at low temperatures and can be stored or applied easily at or above 40° C. The waterproof formula cures to form a firm, rubbery seal that is flexible enough to dissipate stress caused by shock, vibration, swelling and shrinking. Fast Cure 4000 UV from 3M Marine may be used in typical bedding and sealing applications including:

• Fiberglass deck to fiberglass hull
• Wood to fiberglass
• Porthole frames
• Deck fittings
• Moldings
