More than half of us prefer
to wrap gifts ourselves, rather than having it done at retail
outlets, according to a 3M study conducted to reveal our gift-wrapping
habits. But, during the holiday season, it is easy to get
caught up in the hectic pace and leave the job of wrapping
up gifts to the end. To ease the stress make sure you have
the wrapping tools you need on hand, such as Scotch®
Tape, and you won't get caught at the last minute.
The study also revealed that six out of 10 people line pieces
of tape along table edges for easy access when gift wrapping.
That is when Scotch® Pop-up Tape and Dispenser comes
in handy. It is so convenient because of the unique dispenser
which delivers pre-cut, 2-inch pieces of tape right to the
fingertips. To wrap gifts with added quickness and convenience,
the dispenser can be worn on the back of the hand or wrist
leaving both hands free for handling wrapping paper and other
tasks. As each strip is removed, the next strip pops-up automatically,
ready for use.
For some of us, everyday tools like Scotch® Tape can
get lost in the kitchen or junk drawer, sending us on a search
for gift wrapping tools. With the new dispenser holder with
Command adhesive, the Scotch® Pop-up Tape dispenser
can be mounted to a variety of surfaces, including your table
top, counter, or desk. With the Command Adhesive strip,
the dispenser can be mounted and removed cleanly without damage
or residue.
When it comes to making the job easier and more professional,
Scotch® Tape with Satin Tape is the best choice
for gift wrapping. It virtually disappears on most gift wrap.
It features a unique, embossed finish for the best appearance
on most gift wrap papers. It is easy to dispense and sticks
securely. Satin Tape comes in the traditional dispenser
and the unique Pop-up dispenser.
Scotch® Magic Tape is the perfect all purpose
tape. It disappears on paper and pulls off the roll smoothly
and cuts easily. It resists splitting and tearing, resists
yellowing and drying out. When gift wrapping, Magic
Tape is perfect for securing gift boxes.
How to simplify and cut wrapping costs:
· On average, according to the 3M study, people
use as much as seven rolls of wrapping paper at Christmas
time. The study also revealed that when the wrapping paper
runs out, people will use whatever is lying around the house
to finish the job including paper or plastic bags, the newspaper,
the comics, and even tin foil. Great ideas to simplify and
cut costs.
· To save on the cost of gift tags, use 3M Post-it®
Notes or Page Markers. They can be removed from the wrapping
paper without leaving any marks and the paper can be reused.
· Get creative by making your own unique wrapping
paper. Cut a sponge into a holiday shape, dip in paint, and
dab onto butcher paper, computer paper, or shelf paper.
· Instead of using expensive bows, use some of these
innovative ideas: fresh flowers like poinsettias, pine cones,
fresh holly, sugar cookies or sugar coated fruit.
