London, ON. - The once separate jobs of printing labels,
applying labels and sealing boxes can now be accomplished
in a simple, single step. The 3M-Matic™ Corner Label
Applicator CA2000 offers the only system to thermally imprint
film tape with variable information, and then apply tape to
the front and side panels while automatically sealing the
box tight. Only 3M provides integrated hardware, printable
tape, box sealing tape and computer software.
The corner label applicator combines a thermal transfer print
engine and label applicator with a case sealer. The system
prints, labels and seals at a rate of 15 cases per minute.
The free-standing labeling system is designed to be used with
3M-Matic™ case sealers but can be attached to other case
sealing equipment and packaging lines.
Labels can be created with any bar code format, messages
in any TrueType™ or bitmapped font, logos and graphics.
Labels are easily customized for identification, traceability
or compliance for shipping, receiving, work in process, inventory
control, quality assurance or sorting. The label printer interfaces
with any Microsoft Windows™ based computer software.
The software capabilities include access to your data base,
importing and printing PDF files, a display to proof labels
before printing, sequential numbering, queuing of different
labels, automatic date and time identification.

Scotch® Printable Tape is made with tough polypropylene
to help keep lines running longer. The tape does not have
a liner to toss, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive is formulated
for immediate, strong adhesion to corrugated packaging. The
thermally printed film tape is printed on-demand to help reduce
pre-cut label inventory. It resists moisture, allows for automatically
adjusted label length to eliminate inventory of different
die-cut label sizes, resists scuffs for high quality bar code
scanning and has no paper fiber dust to contaminate the print
heads.
