The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is calling
for entries for the 16th annual Vehicle Graphics Design
Awards competition. Co-sponsored by 3M Canada's Commercial
Graphics Division, the Vehicle Graphics Design Awards recognize
fleet operators and graphic design companies who graphically
enhance their vehicles. The competition is open to all Canadian
fleet operators; entry deadline is August 31, 2001.
"For the past 15 years, the PMTC has been offering this
competition to promote the work of fleet operators and graphic
houses," says Bruce Richards, president, Private Motor
Truck Council. "The competition promotes one of the positive
sides of the trucking industry. We are proud to recognize
these fleets and graphic houses."
Entries come from all across Canada and reflect an ever-increasing
emphasis on combining marketing with safety.
"We have received great response over the years and
we want to honour even more fleet operators and graphic houses
this year," says Richards. "Companies that use fleet
graphics to deliver their message while delivering their products
are making the best possible use of the marketing opportunities
that their fleet offers."
3M Commercial Graphics has sponsored the event for many years
now. "We are proud to be a part of the competition that
recognizes fleet graphics/images," says David Cowan,
marketing manager, 3M Commercial Graphics. "It is challenging
for marketers to gain consumer mind share for their products.
Fleet graphics are powerful, memorable, and a cost-effective
way to raise consumer awareness."
