stays significantly sharper longer and gives the SandBlaster™
product line its long lasting durability.
3M™ SandBlaster™ Sandpaper
Sandblaster™ Sandpaper comes in a full sheet format
(9" x 11") and a half sheet format (5 1/2"
x 9"). The grits available range from 60 to 400. Improved
technology gives SandBlaster™ the strength to outlast
and outperform conventional sandpaper on such materials as
paint, wood, metal, plastic and fiberglass.
3M™ SandBlaster™ Sponges
SandBlaster™ Abrasives' patented coating surface resists
clogging and can be used wet or dry. The sponges are washable
and deliver great results in even the tightest spots. SandBlaster™
Abrasives offer the widest range of grits available on the
market. They are available in 3 3/4" x 2 5/8" x
1" block or 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3/16" pads.
(Only sponges can be used wet.)
SandBlaster™ Sanding Sponges and Sandpaper are colour-coded
to take the guesswork out of getting the right grit for the
job.
Green is for "Paint Stripping". It
is recommended for fast paint and varnish stripping applications.
It is ideal for use on wood and metal. The high performance
mineral coating stays sharper longer to sand faster than conventional
sandpaper and resists clogging even when sanding latex paint.
Its uniform grit achieves a more consistent finish. This product
is available in 36 or 60 grit sponges, and 60 or 80 grit sheets.
Maroon is for "Bare Surfaces". It
is recommended for bare surface sanding applications of bare
wood, metal, or drywall. On the paper, the special "C"
weight backing resists tearing and provides flexibility for
sanding uneven surfaces. This high performance sandpaper stays
sharper longer and resists clogging. This product is available
in 80, 100 and 150 grits sponges and in 100, 120 and 150 grit
sheets.
Gold is for "Between Coats". The
gold-coloured sanding sponges and sheets are ideal for fine
sanding between paint or varnish coats for finishing applications).
