3M Enhances 711 Charge Analyzer

London, Ontario.Test the performance of your static control products with the enhanced 3M™ Model 711 Charge Analyzer from the 3M Electronic Handling and Protection Division.

Featuring new housing dimensions, the 6" x 6" x 6" unit meets the requirements of ESD Standard 3.1 and IEC Technical Report 613450-5-1 and has a static decay time measurement of 0.1s to 99.9s. The updated 3M Model 711 includes two 11-digit LED bars that display separate positive and negative charge readings, as well as three spacers that support the unit during horizontal airflow measurements for air ionizer performance tests. Additionally, the unit's test parameters are now menu driven.

Along with static decay testing, the 711 can also be used as a voltmeter with an extended measurement range of 25v, 100v, 500v, 1kv and 5kv. When used as a static field sensor, the updated 711 can store data and then transfer the information to a computer via a PC interface located on the back of the unit. An external field sensor is also included for making measurements in hard to reach locations.
