A range of 3M Command Adhesive products have been developed around revolutionary adhesive technology which enables objects to be securely mounted on most household surfaces and removed without surface damage or sticky residue left behind.

Improved holding ability, leaving no surface damage are the unique features of the Command Adhesive range.

The unique selling point is the clean release of the product – it’s a first in the market and makes hanging posters easy and stress-free.

The Command Adhesives appeal to a wide range of markets including households, schools and offices.

The Command Adhesive products debuted at the 1996 National Hardware Show in Chicago and achieved immediate success.

In New Zealand, the products were released for sale in February 1997 and since then sales have indicated a very positive response from the Kiwi market.

In total there are seven products available in the range. The products are:-

• Poster Strips with 3M Command Adhesive
  Poster strips are designed to mount posters and other objects that are flexible. The adhesive removes cleanly from both the wall surface and the poster. These objects can hide the tab while mounted and be peeled back to reveal the removal tab when removability is desired.
  
  
• Large Hook with 3M Command Adhesive
  A utility hook designed to hang bulky items up to 2.27 kgs in weight. Practical applications include clothes, robes and towels.
  
  
• Medium Hooks with 3M Command Adhesive
  Medium sized utility hooks designed to hang items up to 1.36 kgs in weight. Practical applications include clothes, kitchen utensils and craft items.
  
  
• Wire Clips with 3M Command Adhesive
  The wire clips are designed to aid wire installation in the home and office, such as speaker wires, computer cables, extension cords and antenna cables.
  
  
• Large Hook Replacement Strips with 3M Command Adhesive
  
  
• Medium Hook Replacement Strips with 3M Command Adhesive
  
  
• Wire Clip Replacement Strips with 3M Command Adhesive
  Replacement strips are available to allow reuse of hooks and clips. Three sizes are available. Each package contains multiple strips, 8 small replacement strips for use with wire clips, 6 medium replacement strips for use with medium hooks and 4 large replacement strips with large hooks.
  
  

More exciting additions to the Command Adhesive range have now been released. They are:-

• Decorating clips with 3M Command Adhesive for containing those unsightly thin wires like those used when decorating the Christmas tree.
• Spring clips with 3M Command Adhesive for leaving all those household messages or securing children’s artwork.
