2. Wooden hut

Wooden hut Having many small separate buildings is more expensive to heat than one big building.

These wooden huts have very thin walls. Even though they have radiators, they lose heat quickly. This is because they have little insulation. Insulation works like a coat to stop heat escaping. These huts lose lots of heat energy because they don't have a thick layer of insulation. Their walls are so thin, it's like wearing a thin shirt in the snow – there isn't enough padding to keep warm.

These were built 20 years ago as temporary
buildings, but have not yet been replaced.

Should they be replaced?
