This new system from 3M consists of the F2000 Rasant compomer and Clicker™ primer/adhesive. It is notable for its ease of handling and processing and its outstanding physical properties.
The compomer is ideal for dentists who are looking for a filling material that gives off fluorine and can be rapidly and easily worked. F2000 Rasant is recommended for class III and V restorations and is also a good alternative to amalgam for primary teeth and stump reconstructions, as well as for cervical lesions and root caries.
F2000 is available for the first time in capsules and syringes in 13 different shades. The new material is attractive and easy to polish, and does not stick to the instrument.
The Clicker™ primer/adhesive comes in a new dispenser. The two components are pressed at the same time into the mixing bowl where they can be mixed and then applied in a single operation. This saves time and permits precise dosing. The water-based solution is extremely economical and does not evaporate. Etching is also unnecessary.
