President Clinton presents Quality Award to 3M Dental

President Bill Clinton presented the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award to 3M Dental Products Division at a ceremony in Washington DC.

Founded in 1987 the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award is named after the late Secretary of Commerce and honours US companies that demonstrate extraordinary commitment to quality and excellence in a wide variety of business functions including a company´s leadership role, ist strategic planning, information management and how the company relates to ist employees.

3M Dental is the first dental company and only the second company in the health care industry to receive it. 3M Dental entered in the manufacturing category.

Accepting the Award from President Clinton, 3M Dental Division vice president Fred Palensky said "This award certifies our ongoing commitment to business excellence and signifies a business improvement process that enables us to better satisfy the need of our dental customers. Above all, this award recognizes the contribution of our employees and their dedication to providing quality products and services for the dental industry, we are extremely proud to receive it".

3M Dental manufactures more than 700 products used by dentists and their teams around the world.
