3M Scotchprint™ 2000 revolutionizes digital printing

Innovative foil and printing technology from 3M increases the effectiveness of advertisements no matter where they are placed, in airports, on trains, on building facades or on the floor of supermarkets. For example, 3M's new Scotchprint 2000 system is the most productive digital color printing system available on the market today.

Sign Factory, an Austrian advertising production firm, was the first company in the country to use this system and one of the first in Europe to utilize the opportunities presented by this innovative technology.

With Scotchprint 2000 digital printing, you can produce ads directly from data carriers or scanned patterns and eliminate lithographic or screen printing expenses in the process. The new Scotchprint 2000 system prints up to 240m_ an hour with a resolution of 400 dpi. This high printing speed is achieved by using four printing heads which apply all the dyes in a single work process.

Scotchprint 2000 is the first large-format printing system. It is ideal not only for singleton production and small series but for medium-sized runs as well. With this system, it is possible for the first time ever to print foils directly without having to bother with transfer paper. This reduces the amount of materials involved and the work time required.
