Feeding in cables and conductors is a routine chore for electricians servicing or installing electrical equipment. Lub-I from 3M lowers the resistance to friction to an absolute minimum, reducing the risk of the cable or conductor being damaged by extreme tensile forces. Lub-I is a water-based transparent white gel which neither damages nor soils walls, carpeting or clothing. Thanks to the minimal lubricant residues (< 3.5% solids) left behind, the cable does not adhere to the inside of the pipe. That means it is easier to remove later on.
The stable gel does not liquefy or decompose even when subject to major fluctuations in temperature (-7° to +44°C). Instead, it remains viscous and ductile and always ready for use.
