Farewell to wire brushes!

Until now, the customary way to remove rust, adhesive residues, temper colors or paint residues was to use wire and nylon brushes, hand files or chemicals of some kind. With its new Roloc Bristle Disk, 3M has created an all-purpose product ideal for cleaning, deburring, polishing and finishing. Altered workpiece geometry or metallic contamination of surfaces is now a thing of the past.

At first glance, it might seem surprising that a plastic product could perform better and more consistently than your trusty old steel brush. And yet these bristles with their ceramic Cubitron particles "eat up" rust spots as well as adhesive and paint residues at high speed with minimal pressure on your part, leaving behind a surface which is smooth and clean. Even Thycol and other rubber-like coatings that used to be removable only with chemicals are easy to whisk away with Roloc Bristle Disks.

Since the entire product is in single-cast design, no broken off parts can come flying off, as is often the case with wire brushes. The flexible bristle disk even adjusts to bumpy surfaces without altering the geometry of the workpiece. Each disk can be used until the abrasive material is worn away.
