35 Years of Internal Coating of Gas Pipelines - Review of Benefits and Future Developments
By: Dr S Kut, Phd BSc C Chem FRSC FTSC FIMF FICort. International Direct, E Wood/Copon International Limited
At: "Corrosion Prevention of the European Gas Grid System" International Conference, Amsterdam 31 March/1 April 1992.
Abstract:
This paper reviews 35 years experience in the internal coating of over 60,000 km of gas pipelines worldwide - the financial and technical benefits obtained both for land and off shore lines. Considered will be the current status, and future developments, including environmentally friendly coatings. Leading on from sweet gas, will be discussed a new generation of internal pipe coatings for sour gas - for aggressive and highly acidic conditions. This will be linked with techniques to give a continuous coating, which is essential in such corrosive environments

Future Trends in Liquid Pipe Coating Technology
By: Dr S Kut, Phd BSc C Chem FRSC FTSC FIMF FICort. International Direct, E Wood/Copon International Limited
At: Bally's Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, April 23-27 90
Abstract:
A review is made of the current status of liquid internal and external epoxy pipe coatings - leading on to a new generation of pipe coatings for aggressive, sour and highly acidic conditions. A fast curing liquid external pipe coating is described - linked with low capital plant costs.

Liquid Pipe Coatings for Gas, Oil and Water Industries
By: Dr S Kut, Phd BSc C Chem FRSC FTSC FIMF FICort. International Direct, E Wood/Copon International Limited
At: The Pipe Protection Conference, Bhra.Amsterdam 10-12 November 1993
Abstract:
The paper reviews 35 years experience in the internal coating of over 70,000 km of pipelines worldwide - the financial and technical benefits obtained both for land and off shore lines. Considered will be the current status, methods available and future developments. Leading on from sweet gas, will be discussed a new generation of internal pipe coatings for sour gas - for aggressive and highly acidic conditions. This will be linked with techniques to give a continuous coating, which is essential in such corrosive environments.
Similarly internal pipe coatings for the water industry - meeting the latest water regulations for potable water. Lining of outfalls and rehabilitation of sewers is also discussed.

Liquid Two-Component Internal and External Pipe Coatings
By: Dr S Kut, Phd BSc C Chem FRSC FTSC FIMF FICort. International Direct, E Wood/Copon International Limited.
At: The First Mediterranean Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference, 2
Abstract:
Based on 35 years experience with pipe coatings applied to over 60,000 km of pipelines worldwide, a review is made of the current status of liquid internal and external epoxy pipe coatings - leading on to a new generation of pipe coatings for aggressive, sour and highly acidic conditions. A fast curing liquid external pipe coating is described - linked with low capital plant costs.
